Tork Kratos e-bike: Less than a year after its debut, Tork Motors has declared that the price of its Kratos electric motorcycle will be increasing. The price increase will be Rs 10000 in magnitude and will be valid for both the ordinary variation and the more potent R version. The price increase will be in place as of January 1, 2023.
Despite the fact that this particular price increase is 10,000 rupees, the Kratos' overall price has increased significantly when it was first introduced. Priced at Rs. 1.08 lakh for the base version and Rs. 1.23 lakh for the R variant at the time of debut (ex-showroom Maharashtra, after FAME-2 and state subsidies). In less than a year, the Kratos will cost almost Rs 25,000 more following the January price increase than it did at launch.

Need of increasing price
The Kratos has the advantage of having no direct competitors in the market for electric motorcycles at this price bracket. On the lower end, there is the Revolt RV400, priced at Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra, after FAME-2 and state subsidies) and on the upper end, there is the much more expensive Ultraviolette F77, recently launched from Rs 3.80 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
Price protection to all motorcycles
According to Tork, the Kratos has been "absorbing a considerable chunk" of the growth in input prices up until this point, but the sharp surge "compelled this minor price boost." The business adds that all motorcycles delivered up until December 31, 2022, will be covered by price protection.
